It opens with why phishing awareness matters — phishing targets people rather than systems, exploiting trust, authority, urgency, and fear, so the trained human eye becomes the last line of defence — before grounding you in the essentials: what phishing is as a form of social engineering, the anatomy and “kill chain” of an email attack, the ten common attack types, a six-point checklist for inspecting sender, content, links, attachments, urgency, and social-engineering cues, and a five-level risk scale for rating severity. You then put theory into practice in Training Mode, working through four difficulty levels — from a simple phishing-or-legitimate judgement up to explaining and classifying threats — with emails rendered in six realistic email-client themes and instant AI feedback after every answer, while a personal dashboard tracks your score, accuracy, and per-skill proficiency and generates downloadable assessment reports. To keep learners motivated, the platform adds competitive and motivational features: timed challenges and hackathons, eighteen badges, tiered certificates, and global or organization leaderboards. Requiring no security background and aimed at employees, students, and any email user, the course turns phishing awareness into a hands-on, measurable, and genuinely engaging skill.
