Mastering Cyber Range

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to cyber ranges, covering their purpose, modern implementations, and hands-on attack/defense simulations. It begins with an overview of cyber ranges. Participants then dive into the “ADR Cyber Range”, learning attack and defense techniques, monitoring with Montimage’s MMT tool, and mitigation strategies. The “Anti-Phishing Cyber Range” module focuses on a game for identifying phishing emails.

This course is ideal for people with at least basic technical knowledge of networking and the Internet. It is particularly beneficial for professionals that would like to know more about how to perform cyber-attacks, detect them, and react to them as well as improve their awareness on how attacks function and how to better identify phishing emails.

One shot introduction lasting 45 minutes.

This can be followed by a 2nd session explaining how to carry out real exercises.
Two training sessions: Session 1 (Introduction) and Session 2 (Exercises).

Following Session 1 this training session explains how to carry out Cyber Range real exercises. Previously following session 1 is recommended but not a requisite. 

This hands-on follow-up course focuses on practical attack and defense exercises using the Montimage’s ADR CR (Attack-Detect-React Cyber Range). Participants will first review ADR CR fundamentals, attack/defense strategies, and monitoring with the Montimage Monitoring Tool (MMT). They will then apply these skills in guided simulations, including SSH brute-force attacks and Nestea denial-of-service (DoS) scenarios, learning real-time detection and mitigation techniques. The session concludes with a recap of key lessons and participant feedback to reinforce learning outcomes.
